CCT 601 was the first class I took in the Critical & Creative Thinking Program. At that stage, I think I was still expecting 'critical thinking' to be a class in informal logic, but it turned out to be far more multidimensional than that. There were plenty of readings that needed analysis and reflection, as well as group presentations and a final paper. This course introduced me to two features of CCT classes that I came to deeply appreciate and grow from: fantastic snacks (the bad kind of 'growing') and the group work (the good kind although awkward and scary for me at first). My selection from this class is a reaction to one of the articles we read that intellectually and emotionally challenged me.
